GeoTagPhoto

This plugin will allow you to post geotagged photos to your blog and have them automatically linked to a google map.
This works by checking every image in your post and if its got geotag data it will add a icon on the photo which will open a map in a thick box when clicked. There are alot of option on the view of the map and will let the user customise their experience.

GeoTagPhoto

  1. Hi there. I love this plugin (at least how it works on this page :) . I am unable to get it work though. I get a gnarly php error like this one:

Warning: exif_read_data(spacer.gif) [function.exif-read-data]: File not supported in /home/*****************/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geotagphoto/geotagphoto.php on line 199

It doesn’t happen with all images though. Here is a screenshot of what my site looks like without the plugin activated:

Here is what it looks like after the plugin is activated:

Any ideas of what may be causing the issue? Thanks!

I have the Geotag plugin installed..uploading images in full size..and I cant get the plugin to work. I did verify that the image has geotag info via Microsoft Photo Tools.

All the settings seem correct and the API key is correct as well.

I get no overlay icon, etc…

i could be the theme you are using some of them mess things up a little. Otherwise it means there is no geotag in your photos or the tag inst being recognised

oh i have had problems with iphone images before but i thought that was fixed. Could you try another image and see if that works? you can just use one off my site that has tags if that helps.

well that is strange it works on the standard theme normally and that photo should work fine. How are you adding the photos to your blog? and when the photo is posted is it post full sized and not as a thumbnail?

Yes full size. I am inserting it into a post as I write it..

IF you email me I can give you access to the site.
